A fantastic quality early 1960’s era cocktail dress by top end Australian fashion label, Van Roth.
Van Roth was established in the iconic Flinders Lane district of Melbourne in the 1940’s.
Photo’s do not do this dress justice. The lines and shape are just so flattering on. It has amazing details such as sheer balloon sleeves with a stunning bright orange contrast design. These are topped with velvet lined cuffs & tiny buttons. A sexy scoop neck & back line with a skirt featuring tiny velvet bows, as well as velvet trimming in the bodice finish off this beautiful creation.
The skirt is fully lined with paper-like stiffening material. The dress is Rayon.
It is in excellent condition & is certainly one the best examples of a 60’s LBD I have come across. Nearly a keeper for me, but alas it didn’t quite fit!!
The best fit is an Australian size 10 to smaller 12.
