Description
“Here is a tip. If you find yourself rifling through your nana’s closet and discover an old apron, still bagged, with the label Taniwha, grab it.
Taniwha garments, it transpires, are the creme de la creme of the Australian apron industry. In the unassuming and genteel world of local apron collecting, they are highly sought after and worth a bob or two. Pristine examples from the ’60s can sell on eBay for as much as, oh, $25.” Source: https://www.smh.com.au/lifestyle/pinup-pinnies-keep-us-covered-20140403-35zqq.html
Taniwha aprons manufactured for years in Adelaide are very collectable. This is a fantastic example, definitely collector worthy. For one it is a full apron rather than half & it features a heart theme.
The bib is a heart shape & so is the apron pocket. All brought together in a sweet pastel pink floral cotton. The apron is in great condition considering it’s age & use. There are no frays, tears or stains.
