A very rare little gem of a dress. This is a wiggle style day dress by Taffs. It is iconic as it features… very unusual for the day…indigenous art in the Terylene fabric.
Apparently the fabric designers would travel to remote communities to buy their art & bring it back to the studio to recreate it on fabrics. I have never come across a dress of this era with these traditional designs. No one else involved in vintage fashion that I have shared pictures of this dress with have either.
It retains it’s original belt & the quality is like new. A rare piece worthy of any vintage collector or even a museum!
The best fit is a modern Australian size 10 to 12.
